Our Building Project
Will you help us build a home for St Columba Church of Scotland in Inverness?
Our congregation are getting underway with a permanent building for the church and community. The architect designed building will provide a space where people can come together to worship, discover, belong, learn, play and thrive. Our commitment as a church is to be ‘here for life’ – and this building is a big part of how we root that in our community..
Our proposed building will be a multi-functional community facility and will:
• Provide a permanent home for Sunday worship and church activities
• Create a flexible, inclusive space for the whole community — from toddler groups and youth programmes to older people’s lunches, counselling, addiction support, meeting rooms for hire, and more
• Offer a welcoming environment that reflects our values of hospitality, simplicity, and sustainability
• Be cost-efficient and energy-conscious, using low-carbon design and heating technologies wherever feasible
• Provide outdoor space for relaxation, recreation, and connection with nature.
Our commitment is not just to bricks and mortar but to a living, breathing space that nurtures faith and community life.
The overall budget for the project is just over £2Million. We aim to raise £150,000 of that total from within our congregation and the community it serves.
2026 a year featuring larger fundraising activities (more details to follow – watch this space) but might there be something you can do to help? For example, a sponsored walk, step count, tomato eating, etc etc Please get in touch.
