Hi, my name is Scott McRoberts, and I’ve been the minister since November 2012. I’m originally from Inverness (though often people try to guess my accent when they first hear me speak), and I’ve been living here since 2005 with my wife Heather. We have three young children, Anna, Daniel and Zoe. It’s a delight to me that my wee kids love coming to our church, because they love the people, the food and the fun things they do!
My passion is to lead people in worshipping God through Jesus Christ; and to preach the Bible, striving to faithfully reflect what’s there in ways that make sense to us – to bring life, to challenge, to encourage and to grow us together as people sharing Jesus. I love sharing in the stories of people’s lives, and it’s my privilege to meet people, hear about them and pray with them and for them. Please get in touch with me if you’d like to talk with me more about your life or anything else!
I’m partly at this church because I’m a coffee snob – I don’t do instant, and neither does our church, so that’s a good match! But I’m mostly at it because the belief that Jesus Christ has come to bring life in all its fullness, now and forever, is at the heart of who I am, and at the heart of who this church is. God brought us together to share that belief with you.
