About  the project:

The “Connections” pre-birth -3 years project is a response from Inverness St. Columba Church of Scotland to the need for more early years provision in an area of Inverness  which is witnessing its very own baby boom!  The Parish of Inverness St. Columba stretches from Fairways Business Park down to Ness-side, encompassing the homes on the south side of the distributor road.  Much of the housing is new and there is currently little by way of community facilities.  With lots of young families,  many who are new to the area and at one of the earliest and most vulnerable stages of family life – we hope that groups running from “The Living Room” will provide a place and setting for people to connect with us and with one another.  It’s our desire that in their own way, each of these groups will play its part in reducing the sense of loneliness often experienced in this stage of life.

We are committed to providing a quality experience  for adults and infants alike.  We endeavour to work in partnership with other organisations and health care professionals operating in the area and our toddler groups  are affiliated to  the Care and Learning Alliance.  If you have any queries about the project please do contact our community worker Annette Maclean by emailing or telephoning 07738 275956

We are grateful to the Go For It fund operated by the Church of Scotland and The Highland Council Inverness South Discretionary Budget for their grant assistance with this project.
